CR Softball

My wife and I are considering relocation to CR.  More likely a part time situation at first, second home type situation.  I have found lots of info here that is helpful and appreciate it all.  My question is about softball...girls or womens softball.  Many Central and SOuth AMerican countries are now playing in the International Softball arena but I have seen no mention of Costa Rican softball.  Has this sport been catching on in CR?  thanks.

Definitely not catching on in Costa Rica.  There are some foreigners trying to get Little League baseball going, but women's softball I haven't heard anything about.  There are some diamonds and softball leagues in La Sabana Park, but I think they are either mixed or men's teams that usually play.
