Eyeglasses and Opticians in CR

Thinking about buying a new pair of eyeglasses on my visit.  I need to buy no-line bifocals.  Anyone with experience in getting an eye exam and purchasing new eyeglasses?  Any thoughts or info appreciated.  Cost?, Quality? Time involved? etc.

The eye exams are very inexpensive and often free if you purchase the glasses there.  I have seen prices of 1000 or 2000 colones for exams.

The chains are Opticas Vision which has a target like logo and Optica Jimenez, which has a green sign.  They will do a good job, but there are many non-affiliated opticians that will also do a good job. 

For the lenses and frames it of course depends on the correction and characteristics of the lenses.  A basic frame for no-line bifocals that aren't polycarbonate or non-reflective shouldn't run over $30-$40. 

Of course designer frames, higher magnification prescriptions and better materials will drive the price up.
