Hi,  My name is Belinda and we recently purchased a home in Costa Rica in Ciudad Colon.  We will be arriving there later this summer for closing.  I am a very active quilter in Colorado and would like to hook up with other quilters when I start living in Costa Rica.  I am interested in finding out about fabric stores and quilting supplies that are available in the San Jose area.  I look forward to hearing from you.  A fellow quilter, B

Hi Belinda,

I don't think we have many quilters visiting our forum, but maybe I will be surprised.  yes

In any case I know of a lady in San Rafael de Heredia, who is doing community service with local women in that area, they quilt and she helps them learn and also market.  So that would be the person you have to reach.

I know about this group because an article came out in the Tico Times a few years ago.  So I checked the latest edition of the paper and found the Quilt Guild of Costa Rica, which meets the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm in the Catholic Church of San Pedro.  225-9534 is the contact number.

Hi Russ,

Thanks so much for the info.  I will check it out.

By the way - I read some of the posts in the Relocation forum.  I read alot of responses by you that were very well stated.

I look forward to being involved in this forum.

Have a Happy Valentines Day.  B
