To answer your question:
The closest gated communities to Parque Valle del Sol are Lindora and Villa Real. Both are in the same price range but don't offer a golf course. Lindora offers a common pool area, tennis courts and gazebo for barbecue and ample guest parking. Security is top notch. All lots are quite small and houses almost attached with only a couple of feet on both sides. Generally they measure 600 - 800 m2 (6,600 - 8,800 sq. ft)
Villa Real is a eco-friendly community with good infra structure and common pool, clubhouse, tennis court and basket ball court. Since it's on a hill, the lay out (mainly of the gardens) is not so child friendly. Both communities are close to shopping and schools.
All furnished rentals in Costa Rica have appliances included.
