Relocating,real Estate Agent, Artist

My 15 yr. old son, and 2 grown daughters and I are looking into relocating to Costa Rica ( maybe Tamarindo?).I'm a real estate agent in south Florida, so would like to know what kind of opportunities there are to sell real estate.  My daughters are artists, so we'd also consider opening a business along those lines. We plan to visit in June so would like info.on how to best investigate our move, in terms of employment and housing. The "kids" all surf, so that will factor into where in Costa we live. We did this 6 years ago when we moved to Florida. Thanks alot! Also, my son wants to know on an average day what the waves are like in Tamarindo. Susan

Real Estate is a good market here.  There are many unscrupulous people involved, so anyone coming from the US with an honest mentality has a good chance to do well and to set higher standards for the market.  This was one reason our group was formed initially and some of our members started their careers as realtors in the US.

If you want to open your own office, you might try these areas that are undergoing development and are famous surf spots:

Pavones, Playa Hermosa, Esterillos, Dominical, Puerto Viejo (Salsa Brava), Playa El Coco (surfing Witch's Rock)
